WHERE IS GOD? ON OR OFF?

Good  morning family it’s such a pleasure to get the opportunity to speak with you all again this week. I’m led to speak about our path and our decisions. Not just our life long decisions but our moment by moment decisions. Out daily paths, our minute by minute paths. How are you walking? Is the light of your life on?

John 8:12 - Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 - If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

Jesus said,

John 9:4-5 - We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work. But while I am here in the world, I am the light of the world.”

I use these scriptures and these next pictures as an example. Are you looking in life with the light of Jesus on or is He simply turned off at times?

Driving with Jesus on!

Driving with Jesus off!

Walking with Jesus light on!

Walking with His light off!

We each make the decision second by second, minute by minute, day by day, year after year. Do we walk with the Light of the World (Jesus) on or off in us? Walking with the Light on makes it so much easier to see where we are going, it makes it possible for the Father to be glorified. With Jesus light on in us it not only lights the path of our own walking but we help to light the paths of those we are around. Just like pastor Troy said yesterday about receiving the corporate anointing while at church rather than being alone. There is power in the gathering of the Father’s Light. WE ARE THAT LIGHT!

John 11:9-10 - Jesus replied, “There are twelve hours of daylight every day. During the day people can walk safely. They can see because they have the light of this world. But at night there is danger of stumbling because they have no light.”

We must grasp the knowledge of the kingdom and see we don’t need the light of the world to see but only the light of Jesus.  We need to receive the light of Christ and reject the light of the world. As Lazarus died in this world he could only be risen by Jesus. Without Jesus there truly is no light there is no life, the is only death, only Jesus can raise you up. Where is God?  ON OR OFF? YOU CHOOSE!

Father help me to never reject your light in my life each and every second, minute, hour, year after year. I know I can’t see it from a worldly perspective, but I know from your Word, I need you.  I need your light to light my path. I need the light of other believers to help me say lite. You are the way, the truth, and the life. Help me to continually keep my eyes on you! In the Holy precious amazing wonderful loving name above all names Christ Jesus, Amen!

Forgive us Father, Thank you Father

Good morning family I’m so very happy to have this opportunity to speak with you this beautiful morning. God is so great. I’m excited for the love in the air with friends & family who are sharing in a new born baby. My heart goes out to a sister & family who’s in a state of loss of a loved one. I look upon the world as we discussed in our men’s group this morning. 73,000,000 children put to death before even breathing their first breath every year. With the love and the dismay we are surrounded with. I call upon the words of Jesus on the cross, “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do”.

I look to the celebration of the life that’s brought into this world and the love it’s created in the lives involved. Such a blessing to behold of new life. Thank you Jesus for the love you have bestowed upon us.

I think of the loss we all encounter at times. Some in times of age and others in times of happenstance. Others in disease, others in situations of accidents or by choices made, all being in this broken world! I draw close to God in these times good and bad alike. He is our all. He is our provider, provider of faith, provider of Hope, provider of trust, provider of grace, provider of mercy, provider of comfort, provider of love.

We all must, not lean on our own understanding. This is a broken world. We must repent for this worlds wrong doings, for the churches wrong doings. The church, the body of Christ is just as guilty as the world. The more we look at it the more we see only the world in the the church. We don’t see the division in the world and church that Jesus spoke of. We are not of this world but of the kingdom of Heaven. Knowing this we must ask, do you see a difference in you and the world or are you actively seeking to be separate from the world and only be of Heaven? Are you repentant of the churches actions? Are we seeking to make disciples as Jesus showed us? Paul speaks of his hardships.

2 Corinthians 6:3-10 - We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry. In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food. We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. We faithfully preach the truth. God’s power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense. We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors. We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed. Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything.

Father with all the love and glory you have for us in this world we ask that you help us to find ourselves walking in faith and in love in all we do. We ask that you help us to walk separate of the world. We ask that you show us where we need to be repentant for the church. We ask that you show us how to be disciple makers. We ask that you show us how to walk as Christ walked. father we ask all this in the presence beautiful amazing wonderful humble loving name of Christ Jesus, Amen!
