Honey

 2-23-26 Honey

Good day family it’s been quite a while since I posted these Monday morning atheism deterrent messages. I was asked and encouraged to continue through with them and shown how they were missed and by some needed. I too must have my continual reminders that speak to me in regard to my direction and my focus. So I pray this keeps you well and this serves as that deterrent in your lives to focus on Christ and not have an atheistic view starting the week out. I must say it’s truly a beautiful pleasure to get this opportunity to share with each of you. I pray you all are well and I relish in the opportunity that each of you have at this very moment to get to share in the Word with the people God has placed in your lives this day, and even more this week. That you Jesus for the love of sharing in your Word. I love you all and pray you spread the Word and encourage others to do the same.

My focus today has been a week long thought train in or around honey. As I looked more and more into it I seen that honey was a blessing to the sweet provision provided by God to His people when coming out of Egypt. Honey is spoken of as coming from the rock as Gods provision to His people in a time of need, but more so that it came from a place of solitude and a place of hardness or hardship as it were. A place that was impossible for any explanation other than God. A place to prove His love and His provision for His people. As I go deeper into the study of honey I see it as a fleshly desire. We crave the sweetness of honey in all things. Honey represented as the sins in life or of the flesh. In Leviticus God refused the burnt offerings of yeast or honey as a burnt offering to the Lord. God only wanted a sweet aroma in His burnt offers that were pure and unblemished by sin or any defilement. As we look into it we can see the scientific side that says honey causes a stink when burnt. Honey burns black and putrid. Honey as yeast is a fermenter of sorts, it leavens. Leavening is a state of defilement, it’s a corruption in  foods, through its rising its a deteriorating effect that is defiling its product. It is a decaying of the cells that begins a new growth. It’s a bacteria that grows exponentially. This is what sin does in our lives. This is why I believe God denied the offering of honey and yeast in His people’s offerings. He didn’t want His people to be corrupted by the defilement that honey or yeast (desire/sin) would bring. He had to leave his alters pure as Christ did on the cross. Just as Christ is pure so was His alters.

I go through all this to simply ask how is your alter? Is it pure and undefiled? Now remember Christ died for us to have an undefiled alter. You received your cleaned alter upon salvation, but are you keeping it cleansed? Are you allowing the enemy to take a seat at your table and corrupt your meal? Is the lamb tainted at your table? If so you’re setting at the wrong table. Only through the Word can we comprehend the need to walk in freedom and the continuing need to repent. Repentance is a must for believers that are seeking His face first. But what of grace? Is it sufficient? Absolutely it is and will always be, but it requires the acknowledgement of sin, the acknowledgement of humility needed by repentance sot by believes recognition of their lack of ability without Christ first and foremost. So, where is your heart? Are you repentant? Is your alter cleansed and pure? I pray my alter is prepped and prepared for Christ as He did for me on the cross.

Father I pray you help me to relieve myself of my personal desires and of sin before you in anything or any area of my life. I ask that you help me continue to evaluate my life and my thoughts and actions to eliminate anything in my life that isn’t of you. I pray you help me humble myself before you and keep my alter pure before you. I offer continued repentance for all I see and don’t see in my life. I ask that you lead me continually to you in the holy beautiful precious graceful name above all names Christ Jesus, amen!

Family have a beautifully blessed week.
