Bible Study Excitement

Well good Day family, last night was a great class. we elected to just take our time with the class and make an in-depth study of it. I'm really looking forward to John's study here. I think this is quite different than anything I know of him doing in the past. This is going to be fantastic for us to really dig in and grasp a the whole heart of God. This is going to drive us to completely understand a Holy Fear of God. I think this study will bring more of a strength to us and an intimacy with the Father like none of us has ever encountered. I guess I need to tell ya what it is. Lol! This is the bible study by John Bevere "The Awe of God". Just grasp that name alone doesn't that alone just pull you in?

If you open up and just read the How to understand how to read and study this book section in the front you will be completely enthralled. I know this isn't entirely right but I wanna give full credit to John here. This is a direct copy and past from this simple only section of the book. please take time to read.

HOW TO JOURNEY THROUGH THIS BOOK

Dear Reader, This isn’t just any message; it’s a life message that, if believed and acted on, will transform you forever. I am confident in this because these truths have changed my life and countless others’. Whenever I’m asked for advice— whether it’s about marriage, family, or ministry—my immediate go-to is what’s contained in this book. Due to its importance, a lot of time and contemplative prayers have gone into how to present it. Considering the ebb and flow of our lives today—the demands of our schedules and the rapid pace at which we move—I felt the need to adapt and present the truths in bite-sized chunks so that you will be able to deeply ponder these small bits. At first glance you may think this is a devotional, but I assure you it’s not. Let me explain. A devotional often has different topics for each day that don’t necessarily build into a concise and systematic message. Even though this book may look like a devotional, each day builds on the previous day’s chapter to form what is typically found in a full nonfiction book. The advantage of this is that you can decide how to read it. It certainly can be read in a day or two, if that is your preference; however, I strongly recommend you read it in either a six-week period (a chapter a day) or a three-week period (a chapter in the morning and another in the evening). At the conclusion of each chapter, you will find five tools to help deepen the benefit of its content—we’ll call this section “Making it Personal,” and it contains the 5 Ps: x How to Journey Through This Book 1. Passage: I will include a passage from Scripture that is crucial to that day’s message found in the body of the text, or one that was not brought up in the main body of that chapter but adds strength to what was presented. I highly recommend memorizing these passages. 2. Point: This is a main thought contained within the chapter to drive home its importance. Seeing it again will strengthen its effectiveness and give you a quick reference when coming back and reviewing the chapter. 3. Ponder: This is crucial. The psalmist states, “I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways” (Psalm 119:15 nkjv). We meditate by rolling over in our minds how the Word of God applies to us in our present state. In doing so we are told our ways will be prosperous and we will have good success (see Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1, and 1 Timothy 4:15). 4. Prayer: There will also be a prayer that reflects the teaching of the chapter. It’s so important that God hears our voice and that we give Him the permission to change us according to His Word. 5. Profession: We are told that death and life are in the power of what we say (see Proverbs 18:21). In speaking what He declares over us, our spirit, soul, and body come into alignment with His will for us, which is the proven way to experience life to the fullest. Again, I encourage you to take your time going through this book so the truths from God’s Word penetrate your heart and mind. Spending the coming weeks dwelling on these truths daily will help them to sink in and take root in your life. This is more than mere information; it is the path to growing closer to our God. I also recommend that you read the chapters and go through each of the 5 Ps in “Making It Personal” with a journal alongside you. Put your thoughts and prayers into the journal each day so that when you return to it later you can refer to what the Holy Spirit revealed to your mind. A few more recommendations: First, with your smartphone or watch, time how long it takes you to read a chapter, go through “Making It Personal,” and journal. Don’t rush; it’s not a race. The reason for the timer xi How to Journey Through This Book is so that after several chapters you will be able to wisely plan for the future chapters based on your average time. Second, try to develop a habit, and don’t allow anything to interfere with your set time each day. It’s my prayer and hope that what God has done in me over the past forty years He will do with you as you go through this book. Third, a message always brings the greatest benefit when I teach it or go through it with a group of friends. Choose some close friends and work through this together. After you complete the chapter on your own, with just you and the Holy Spirit, get together with your friends to share what He showed you. Do this on a regular basis. If you’d like a group format, we’ve also developed an Awe of God Bible study with video curriculum and study guide that you and your friends can go through together on a weekly basis.1 It offers even more tools to discuss the Word of God. Scripture says, “Then those who feared the Lord spoke with each other, and the Lord listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and always thought about the honor of his name” (Malachi 3:16). Finally, we have 42 short videos that highlight the core truths from each chapter. To access them, go to Appendix A and scan the QR code. There you’ll also find information on video curriculum for small group study and other bonus content. I pray you grow more intimate with God as you journey through Awe of God. It’s important to read the introduction rather than skipping to chapter 1, as it opens our hearts to what we will be discussing. And when you’ve finished the book, I’d love to hear from you how your faith and life have been impacted through a holy fear of God. Sincerely, John Bevere P.S. Just a reminder to not skip the introduction. It is my prayer that it will ignite a fire in you to cultivate a holy awe and dive headfirst into this message.

Looking for direction

Good day family Its been an interesting day thus far. I'm sorry its so late in the day. Me and the guys have had such a profound discussion all morning long. My mind had been a bit elusive to putting out this message, but I know God desires for me to do so. I just wanna say I love you all. Why? Your my family. How do I know? God gifted me with His love in my heart! He took my Stoney heart and Gave me a new Heart of flesh.

Ezekiel 11:19-21 19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: 20 That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. 21 But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD.

As God gave me new life in Him I receive, new eyes to see with. I have to live my life as attached to Him as in John. I am the branches and nothing without the vine of Christ. as in Galatians I (this old flesh) must me crucified daily with Christ, I live only by the faith I have in the Son of God (Christ Jesus).

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Do you find yourself as contrast as I do from time to time? If we are truly seeking the Kingdom of God we must be continually be asking these questions. Am I living in faith, am I obedient, am I really sharing His love with the world around me, am I sure I'm stepping right when I step? Are we seeking the answers with one another on a continual basis. Are we allowing Iron to sharpen Iron in our lives not just on Sunday but throughout the week?

Are you allowing Holy Spirit to work in all you are?

Father, Help each of us to fall utterly in love with you. Help us to fall in love with every single soul we encounter as you do. Continue to give us a measure of faith and desire to please you more and more through our faithfulness and our continued obedience. I ask all in the precious beautiful loving gracious miraculous humble name above all names Christ Jesus, Amen!

God with Us!

Good morning my Loving family. I so cherish the opportunity to get to talk with each of you as often as I can. I was truly blessed to get to see most all of you this Sunday in Church. I am so thankful for each of you. I find myself today thinking on how the disciples lived in these next few days after the resurrection of Jesus. He was there and He walked with them in all they did. The Holy Spirit hadn't descended yet but was getting ready. I think on us and our continually thinking we need to get ready. We certainly don't we need to STAY ready. Yes, STAY ready for the leading and the infilling of Holy Spirit in every single thing we do. I'm reminded in the most perilous of times we are seeking God, Jesus, Holy Spirit to help us, but we don't need the help He does. He needs us to let go and Let Him. We tend to get in the way, in Oh, so many ways. We just don't wanna let go. We think we need Him and yes we do. We need to not just receive Him but remain with Him. We tend to get filled with Him at our convenience and though the turmoil of this broken world we lose out, and become drained. We need to stay with a continual in-filling with Holy Spirit. This all makes me think on Paul and all he endured for the kingdom of God, He was beat, stoned. ship wrecked, etc.. etc.. I think on the viper that bit him when he was ship wrecked on the Island of Malta.

Acts 28:3-5 - 3 Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand. 4 When the islanders saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other, “This man must be a murderer; for though he escaped from the sea, the goddess Justice has not allowed him to live.” 5 But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects.

This is just as the world is to us today, speaking death upon us without knowing who resides with us. Paul lived with Jesus with him in all he did and everywhere he went. He maintained an infilling with Jesus in all he was. We must look to how Paul did this, and live with a continual infilling of Holy Spirit in all we do, think, and say. Remember what Mary and Joseph named their son.

Matthew 1:23 - 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”[g] (which means “God with us”).

This should be a continual reminder and confirmation that Jesus, God, Holy Spirit is forever and always with us. God with us! Yes, he is always with us, when we are seeking Him out He is there. We need to get clear on this, just as Peter was when he stepped out of the boat all was great until what? He took his eyes off Jesus, Yes Jesus is always right there but we must keep our eyes on Him. His love and eyes are continually fixed on us since before we were formed in our mothers wombs. We just get caught up in the daily routine and actions of those around us and find that we need Him and yes we do! So look up and fix your eyes on Him, He is right there!

Please Pray this with me:

Father I think you for your gift and your love so deeply of me that you gave your son. Thank you Jesus for your love as the Father loves and the obedience to His will for you to be sacrificed for me. Thank you Holy Spirit for your continual infilling of your presence and continual love that you bestow on me. I ask that you continually show me the way to look up and see you in all situation and keep me from ever straying away from you in any situation. I ask that you always nudge me to your presence even though I know your there this ol' flesh soon forgets from time to time. Thank you for the grace and mercy that you have bestowed upon me and continue to do so, I ask that you will help show me how to give that grace and mercy to every single person I encounter. I ask to always see you in me and all I am. I ask all this in the beautiful precious amazing blessed gracious humble miraculous name above all names, Christ Jesus, Amen!

Prisoner of ???

Good morning family its so very wonderful to talk to each of you this beautiful morning. Monday morning of Holy week. Christ knew it was coming and the thing that stands out to me is his maturity. How does that speak to you being Christlike? Christ knew and he stayed. He didn't act a fool. He drew his friends, His disciples close and fellowshipped with them. He ate and drank with them. He stayed with the Father in prayer. He knew it was coming, yet he still said not my will Father but your will be done.

As Jesus spoke these words in Luke.

Luke 22:42 - “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

Jesus walked in the maturity of the Almighty but through the power of Holy Spirit within Him and wholly in his flesh as we are now. Christ walked to set us free and to show that with the right maturity and right mind-set we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. He did this to show that we can do the same though His Grace and Mercy placed upon us. Paul writes about us waling in maturity in Ephesians 4 and Hebrews 6

Ephesians 4:1-6 - 1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

I ask you each this, this morning. Are you walking as a prisoner for the Lord or are you walking as a prisoner of that nasty ol' flesh? I love you each and everyone and am so thankful for each of you being a part of my life. God bless each of you as you relish and live in this week with the remembrance of who Christ Jesus is and what He has done for you.

Thank you Father for all you have given me and shown me. Thank you Jesus for all you have sacrificed and taken on my behalf. Thank you Holy Spirit for shining the light and guiding me through this broken world. I ask that you continue to guide the way through and direct me to maturity in Christ and be as your poisoner rather than a prisoner of this ol' flesh. In the precious beautiful wonderful amazing gracious merciful humble name above all names Christ Jesus, Amen!
