Good Morning family! I'm so very glad to get this opportunity to speak with each of you today. I was at a loss as to where to go today with my word for you today, but Greg had such a profound point to share in men's group this morning that after a bit of time to reflect after our discussion, I feel I must share as well. Greg is a guy who loves to love on others and he expresses that through words and wisdom he receives from the Word daily, He's such a prayer warrior I look up to his example in this regard. His words today were a rarity, short and sweet, but oh, so profound. Look into them yourselves. Receive them and let them sink in before you wash them away. Truly Let them sink in. "GOD ANSWERS PRAYER!"
Genesis 25.21 - Isaac pleaded with the LORD on
behalf of his wife, because she was unable to have children. The LORD answered
Isaac’s prayer, and Rebekah became pregnant with twins.
Greg used this Scripture as his basis this morning and we can lean on so many to back this up. I always liked the the story of Daniel praying for 21 days. This one gives me strength. However, I think we need to start by leaning on a different understanding than that of our own.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT - Trust in the Lord with
all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all
you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Philippians 4:7 NLT - Then you will experience
God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard
your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
This is the understanding that I think of when I think on my prayer life. I think of my conversations with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as My prayer life as well. I simply have a conversation with all or one of them to express my desires, my passions, my needs, the needs of those in my life, the needs of those I'm led to lift in prayer, and anything else the Lord places upon my heart to discuss. When I feel led to seek deeper and lack the words or the understanding needed. I lean on Holy Spirit to give guidance and wisdom. I turn over my tongue, body, and spirit to Him as needed. I simply yield to Holy Spirit.
I'm a man of more words than less and if your a person like me you understand me in this. My grandfather a pastor all my life growing up was a solid man of God and a spiritual cornerstone throughout my life, even when I didn't live life as a Christiaan should. My grandfather was a man of few words. I will forever love and respect this man of God. I learn that the older I get the fewer words that are truly needed to give and/or get what is needed. So, in-turn today Greg's message was one that was well said. "GOD ANSWERS PRAYER!"
Proverbs 17:27 NLT - A truly wise person uses
few words; a person with understanding is even-tempered.
Proverbs 18:2 NLT - Fools have no interest in
understanding; they only want to air their own opinions.
Father today help us to grasp the understanding or your heart for each of us and show us how to love on all those around us through our prayer and know that you always answer. Today, tomorrow, or whenever, but know that you answer always. In the holy precious beautiful amazing humble and prayerful name above all names, Christ Jesus, Amen!
