Prisoner of ???

Good morning family its so very wonderful to talk to each of you this beautiful morning. Monday morning of Holy week. Christ knew it was coming and the thing that stands out to me is his maturity. How does that speak to you being Christlike? Christ knew and he stayed. He didn't act a fool. He drew his friends, His disciples close and fellowshipped with them. He ate and drank with them. He stayed with the Father in prayer. He knew it was coming, yet he still said not my will Father but your will be done.

As Jesus spoke these words in Luke.

Luke 22:42 - “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

Jesus walked in the maturity of the Almighty but through the power of Holy Spirit within Him and wholly in his flesh as we are now. Christ walked to set us free and to show that with the right maturity and right mind-set we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. He did this to show that we can do the same though His Grace and Mercy placed upon us. Paul writes about us waling in maturity in Ephesians 4 and Hebrews 6

Ephesians 4:1-6 - 1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

I ask you each this, this morning. Are you walking as a prisoner for the Lord or are you walking as a prisoner of that nasty ol' flesh? I love you each and everyone and am so thankful for each of you being a part of my life. God bless each of you as you relish and live in this week with the remembrance of who Christ Jesus is and what He has done for you.

Thank you Father for all you have given me and shown me. Thank you Jesus for all you have sacrificed and taken on my behalf. Thank you Holy Spirit for shining the light and guiding me through this broken world. I ask that you continue to guide the way through and direct me to maturity in Christ and be as your poisoner rather than a prisoner of this ol' flesh. In the precious beautiful wonderful amazing gracious merciful humble name above all names Christ Jesus, Amen!
